Eng. Manjeet Singh Bhachu
Eng. Manjeet S. Bhachu was born in 1944 in Nairobi and attained elementary education at Jamhuri High School. He further pursued his studies in India and graduated in First Class (Hons) from University of Jodhpur. He then worked with City Council of Kitwe, Zambia and proceeded for his post-graduation studies at Imperial College, London.
After MSc. from University of London, he worked for various International Consultants in UK, Zambia and Middle East before returning to Kenya. He joined as an Associate in 1979 with Mangat, I.B. Patel & Partners. Since then, he steadily rose to be a Partner in 1983.
Eng. M.S. Bhachu is an experienced and Registered Consulting Engineer in the field of Civil Engineering. He is a Fellow, Association of Consulting Engineers, UK; Fellow, Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, U.K.; Fellow, Institution of Engineers, Kenya; Member, Institution of Civil Engineers, U.K.; Professional Engineer, Kenya; Registered European Engineer, FEANI; Registered Lead Expert, NEMA, Kenya.
He has nearly 50 years International experience, from Inception to Completion of Civil Engineering Projects.
Presently, he is the Managing Director of the Firm.

Eng. Ratna Manji Hirani
Eng. Ratna Hirani was born in 1949 in India and did his secondary schooling in Nairobi. Further, he attained his Degree in Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Bombay in 1973.
He joined I.B. Patel, Mangat & Partners in 1973 as a Graduate Engineer and rose steadily to position of an Associate in 1995 and finally in 2002, a Partner in the Firm.
Eng. Hirani has 45 years’ experience in design, construction supervision and quality control of structural engineering projects in East Africa, mainly in Kenya. He has handled projects in hotels and lodges, high-rise, commercial and residential and institutional buildings categories as well as reservoirs, water retaining structures, bridges and grain handling facilities. He is a member of The Institution of Structural Engineers, U.K., Institution of Engineers, Kenya and Fellow, AAK.
Eng. Hirani was Chairman of Engineers Chapter of Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and held various other positions subsequently. Since 2004 he is Chairman of Board of Trustee for Kenya Professional Development Fund at APSEA. Eng. Hirani has served as member of Buildings and Civil Engineering Industry Standards Committee of Kenya Bureau of Standards.
In 2011, Eng. Hirani was awarded Head of State Commendation (HSC) by President of Republic of Kenya for his services to the Industry and Professions.

Eng. Ranjit Singh Rupra
Eng. Ranjit S. Rupra was born in 1956 in Nairobi and attained secondary education at Eastleigh High School and the Higher Education at Waltham Forest College, UK. In 1979, he attained a BSc., Civil Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Water Supply and Public Health Engineering from Middlesex University, U.K.
Eng. R.S. Rupra joined Mangat, I.B. Patel & Partners in 1980 and progressed from a Graduate Engineer to an Associate and since 2008 as a Director overall in charge of Civil Engineering Section of the practice.
Eng. R.S. Rupra is a Member of Institution of Civil Engineers, U.K., Member of Institute of Engineers, Kenya and Professional Engineer, Kenya.
Eng. R.S. Rupra is an experienced Professional Engineer and has led a Team of Professionals from MIBP and Associate Firms in Preparation of Master Plans, Feasibility Studies, Detailed Designs, Project Management for Medium to Large Water Supply, Sanitation, Infrastructure and Roads Projects. He was the Deputy Team Leader for the Development of the Nairobi Master Plan and is currently leading a Team of Experts in Preparation of Water Resources Master Plan for Eldoret, Murang’a amongst other Key Projects.
